while many think that the ruling is good for the gays and their response is: how does that affect your marriage; then on the other side the religious people cry god and sinners.
but both are missing the forest through the trees.. the problem with the ruling is that which is discussed here so many times.

"It would be hypocritical of me to lambast the Watchtower society, and then turn around and embrace this movement, for it stands against everything I hold dear--freedom of speech, freedom of religion, etc etc."
You and those like you remind me of the Confederates who went to war because they wanted the freedom to take other people's freedoms away. After decades of being verbally bullied, harassed at their jobs even beaten and raped (a lesbian) gays are now getting the freedom they deserve.
Too bad for you and your fellow worshippers of your demon god.

OUTLAW:
"Junction-Guy spent a lot of time wondering if he was gay or not.."
Junction-Guy:
"Yes, Outlaw you are correct. I realized that I had been duped into thinking that. The Gaystapo (on here and elsewhere) convinced me otherwise. I had to take a stand for right or wrong, so I chose the biblical path."
So you're a Christian with personal gay issues and now you've chosen to condemn others like you.
You've still not answering a question about the application of the Old Testament outside of ancient Israel. You do know that Leviticus is constantly being cited by Fundamentalist Christians to support their anti-gay agenda.

Junction-Guy:
"It is out of context, because it applied to the Nation (capitol N) of Israel."
You mean it's misapplied, not out of context. In which case the issues of Gays would be the same since Leviticus 20:13, which calls for the execution of gays, is also meant for Israel.

Junction-Guy:
"I only use the King James Bible! but no matter which translation you use, I am sure you will use it out of context."
You've only made your ignorance worse. All you had to do is open up your bible to, Deuteronomy 22:28-29 which says:
28 If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, 29 he shall pay her father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the young woman, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives. Deuteronomy 22:28-29 New International Version
There is nothing there that you can't verify on your own so show me how it's out context.
